QUILTS FOR SALE 1-14-2011

FAUX CATHEDRAL WINDOWS

This baby quilt looks very old-fashioned and is made to look like a traditional cathedral windows quilt. This quilt is made with primary colors so it can be for a boy if you want. This has frayed edges like the one above and is 36 inches square.  Please double click on photos for a closer look at the details.  Cost $50

BACKYARD BLOOMS

This quilt is 68X58 inches and was designed by my friend, Barbara Jones, of the Quilt Soup Company here in Bountiful.  All of the appliqued blocks are done by hand using the needle-turn method with no stitches visible from the front of the quilt.  I spend many, many hours on each block.  On the back of the quilt I have used extra pieces of the same fabrics you see on the front and pieced the entire back so you are really getting a reversible quilt.  Because of the time involved in making this and the detailed machine quilting on the front,  I am asking $250.  All of the machine quilting on these quilts were done by Black Cat Quilting of Centerville.

FALL LEAVES

This is another hand appliqued quilt in bright, fun colors. I currently have this quilt on display at a quilt shop in SLC, but will be bringing it home soon.  It is about 65 X 73 inches.  Cost is $175

RED BIRD

This design is by the Kati Cupcake company.  I love the colorful flowers.  All of the blocks are hand appliqued.  The quilt measures 44 X 53 inches.  Cost is $100

LITTLE BOY BLUE

This fun quilt has not been quilted yet, but is at the quilter right now.  It is hard to find fabric for little boys and I fell in love with these.  All pieces are hand appliqued. I made this quilt smaller than the original pattern, so I don't know the exact measurements, but I believe it is about 45 X 60 inches.  I am asking $75

LEAVES OF GREEN

This another one of my favorite quilts; simple, clean lines with a traditional look.  There are 120 hand appliqued leaves on the quilt!  The green is soft and meant to look like fabrics used in the 1930s.  It has been washed and dried so the batting shrunk up and gives the quilt an antique look to it.  This one is 64 X 72 inches and I am asking  $210

SPRING BASKETS

I couldn't resist making this one when I saw the pattern, and when I found these fabrics I knew it was a match made in Heaven.  The quilt is 48 inches square and is all hand appliqued.  This cost is $125
