MORE OF PRAGUE

Here are a few more photos.  The Charles Bridge in Prague is about the oldest bridge in Europe.  The sepia toned picture of my grandniece and grandnephew is really taken in Leipsig, Germany. If you double click on these pics you can get the full effect.

  2. Charmaine: Thanks, I found that scarf there in Prague. You need lots of scarves in the winter season since it can get bitterly cold. Weather in Prague actually seems pretty similar to ours here, but there were a few days there where the temp really dropped. The city is in a little valley, and gets an inversion like we do too. We may have had Geneva and have Kennecott, but some of the old-school homes surrounding the city still burn brown coal and contribute to pollution during the cold months.

  3. Hello Mary, these are awesome pics! Looks like you had a blast visiting Czech. I grew up in Prague but live in Canada for last twenty years. I am glad I stumbled over your blog, your quilts are stunning too. Cheers, Monika.

  4. Monika: Thanks for your comment. Prague really is a lovely place. I want to return there during the summer season. This trip was unplanned as I was visiting a sick relative, but I fell in love with the city and the people.
